Lauren Smith, Graduate intern/Scheduler

Lauren provides care to adults, couples, children, and adolescents. She is a certified SYMBIS counselor and works with couples seeking premarital counseling. Lauren is dedicated to creating a safe, warm, trustworthy, encouraging environment for her clients. She believes that each client is unique and is committed to providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support to her clients. Lauren works with each of her clients to move towards their goals by offering Cognitive Behavioral, Adlerian and Person-Centered Therapy.

Lauren has a passion for connecting with and helping others which drew her to a career in counseling. Lauren is a graduate intern, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Treva Barham, LPC-S. Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 2018. She is currently working on her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas Baptist University where she will graduate in May of 2025.

Lauren married her husband, Clay in 2021. They are active members at Mobberly Baptist Church. In March of 2024 they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Collins, into the world. Lauren spends her free time reading, walking, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
